66mm Vehicle Launched Grenade Screening
The 66mm Vehicle Launched Grenade Screening when used in salvoes from suitably placed Armoured Fighting vehicle (AFV) grenade launchers produces a rapid optimum smoke cloud with no ‘window hole’ effect.
APPLICATION
Creation of a thick white smoke cloud to conceal movement of vehicles and troops, defensive and offensive smoke strategy, and camouflage, concealment and deception.
The smoke cloud conceals movement of friendly positions and manoeuvres thus reducing the enemy’s ability to deliver a specified attack profile. The smoke screen is achieved with an
air bursting rubber body containing white smoke canisters. The scattered canisters create a smoke screen for AFV protection. The smoke characteristics are a burn time of 30 seconds minimum. The V101/V102 grenade is mission selectable for the roles of smoke camouflage, concealment or deception of AFV’s on the battlefield.
