Hand Grenade, Coloured Smoke

The smoke grenade consists of a cylindrical body filled with a smoke composition which is ignited by a fly-off-igniter, which is integrated into the closure lid of the grenade.

 

APPLICATION

Smoke grenades provide to combat forces a means of communication and signalling during daylight. Besides individual signalling codes smoke grenades are used to mark e.g. landing zones with the indication of wind for helicopter pilots.

Upon ignition the smoke grenade will produce a dense coloured smoke over the specified period.
