Tank Cannon Fire Simulator

Main Gun Signature Simulators are used in:

•   Tank mounted launchers e.g. DARKAS.

•   Range Gunnery Signature Simulators on firing.

•   Fire Marker Units to simulate IED-Simulation.

•   Ground burst simulation of artillery and mortar shells.

APPLICATION

Laser based “firing” during force-on-force training demands a visual differentiation between “firing” and “hit”. The simulation of muzzle flashes of the main gun on battle tanks provides clear information to all participants during combat training which tank is engaged in active combat. The same applies to Range Gunnery Signature Simulation (RGSS) indicating hostile fire to tank crew engaging tank target:

CHARACTERISTICS

The Main Gun Signature Simulator produces a bright flash, a very loud report (175 dB) and a clearly visible cloud of white smoke.

Signature: Muzzle flash, loud report and white smoke
Sound pressure: 170 dB at 3m (DM54, 140 dB at 3m (DM64)
Visibility: At least 3.000m
Safety distance: 50m in firing direction and 30m to each side
